Pastor Tim Barker has been ministering in the Katy Community for 23 years. His wife Polly was born and raised in Katy. They have been happily married for 23 years and have two children, Tara(21) and Trey(18).
Tim and Polly believe in strong families and community. Their heart for Katy Community Fellowship is to be a church focused on true life that comes through Jesus Christ and then share that life in fellowship with friends and neighbors who make up the Katy community.
Tim received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma where he played football. He also graduated from the Apostolic Faith Bible College in Baxter Springs, Kansas. He was a youth pastor for several years before becoming a pastor. The Barkers reside in Katy.
Polly is a 1985 graduate of Katy High School and is the daughter of Katy natives Raymond & Liz Dollins. Polly attended Sam Houston State University studying Ag. Education before marrying Tim in 1988. Polly coordinates the Promiseland ministry for the church, works for her father part time, and works full time being "mom" to Tara and Trey.
