Chris Jones has lived in the Katy area off and on since he moved here with his family in 1995. He is a 2000 graduate of Taylor High School. He attended Houston Baptist University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Music and Christianity. After college he led worship full time at a local church in the Houston area for two years before going to Colorado Springs, CO to attend the School of Worship at New Life Church. After completing his Certification for Worship Ministry Leadership, Chris joined the Katy Community Fellowship staff in the summer of 2007.
While living in Colorado, Chris met Joanna Butcher. Chris and Joanna were married in August of 2008. Joanna received her Bachelor's degree from Seattle Pacific University and her Master's from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD. She is a teacher at Covenant Academy in Cypress.
Chris has a passion for worship and a heart for leading people in an authentic encounter with God.
